Two Big U20 Regattas, Same Weekend, Opposite Coasts

While on the west coast the 2010 San Diego NOODs took place with 7 races over 3 days. Mark Allen's, The Moma Dance took overall honors. Winds ranged from 5- 14 knots during the weekend of racing. Steve Bowman's, Unicorn kept the racing tight by placing in the top of the fleet to finish 2nd overall with Michael Eisenber's Toon Town rounding out the top three.

And on the East Coast, the Lake Norman Yacht Club Keelboat Midwinters took place,seventeen U20s hit the starting line after a couple hours of waiting for the wind to fill in enough for three races. Up and down winds (4 to 12 knots) shifting a few degrees (10 to 15) left and right made for some interesting sailing (typical Lake Norman).
